### SIS Scouting Reports — Grade (Scale)

The Colts aren't going to take a tight end in the first round, OK? Stop it!

They invited just one to their building on a Top 30 visit, **Mason Taylor,** and so I have them waiting until the second round to take Taylor, the son of former Dolphins Hall of Famer, Jason Taylor.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the traits-pilled Chris Ballard opts for Miami's **Elijah Arroyo** instead.

But that brings me to their first selection, which echoes their offseason decision-making. Things seem to be afoot in Indianapolis, as in the decision-making has veered away from the traditional Ballard ways of yore and appears to be more urgent and needs-focused than the usual high-upside swings on traits.

**Josh Simmons** is only available at 14 overall because of an injury sustained during the 2024 season. He's a Top 5 talent in the draft when healthy, and the Colts would be wise to address tackle this year instead of next, when current OTs **Braden Smith** and **Bernhard Raimann** are unrestricted free agents.

Then, in the third round, I have the Colts going back to the Ballard well to draft **Sai'vion Jones,** a younger defensive prospect who Dane Brugler notes has a "terrific blend of height, weight, and length" who can line up across the D-line and pressure the quarterback.
