Jayden Higgins (2025)

Jayden Higgins (2025)

Overall

Jayden Higgins primarily lines up at X receiver in Iowa State’s spread offense. He started 23 of 26 games over two seasons after transferring from Eastern Kentucky, where he played 22 games. Higgins didn’t miss time with injury throughout college. He played basketball in high school and some of those moves translate to the field. Iowa State QB Rocco Becht said Higgins always makes him and the team laugh, “He’s kind of like the jokester on the team.” He added, “He’s like a 5-year-old outside of the facility. Joking around with him is always fun.” Higgins is long and lean and wields his length like a weapon at the LOS. His motor, competitiveness, and overall toughness run hot and cold on a game-to-game basis.

Last Word

Higgins projects best as an outside-only No. 4 WR at the next level in a pass-happy scheme. He will need to bulk up to contribute in the slot and clean up his technique to gain separation with fewer opportunities. On the third down, he’s a reliable slant option to move the sticks or take a shot down the sideline against man-to-man coverage. Early on, he will be most effective as a gunner on special teams.
