Below, I've clipped intel from each prospect's report on the SIS NFL Draft Site, including their overall grade, how they graded in certain critical and positional factors, as well as scouting notes.
- Overall Grade: Each player was graded based on how the scout thought they would perform in the NFL by the beginning of their second year. Their projected role by Year 2 is shown in (parentheses) alongside their scouting grade and a brief description.
- Critical and Positional Factors: Each factor is graded on a scale from 1-9. If a player has no below the line or above the line grades, meaning they graded out as sufficient (5) or good (6) in all factors, they won't have a callout in their profile below.

Cam Ward, QB
Pick: 1.01
School: University of Miami
SIS Grade: 6.7 (Starting QB): Projects to be a good starting QB by his second season.
Key Factors
Scouting Notes
Ward throws with good accuracy and touch on short and intermediate routes, and is adept at utilizing multiple arm angles to hit his target where he needs to. He is very comfortable and poised while throwing on the run. He makes a concerted effort to keep his receivers safe and will lead them away from defenders to try and set up YAC situations. —Zachary Somma and Vincent Shipe
Ward can pass up open reads at times, opting to chase the big play over taking the checkdown. His eyes can be an easy tell, as he can stare down receivers for too long before pulling the trigger. He scrambles with a pass-first mindset, constantly keeping his eyes downfield on broken plays. —Z.S. and V.S.

3-Round Mock Draft

3-Round Mock Draft Logic
- 1.01 (01)
Cam Ward, QB - 2.03 (35)
Luther Burden III, WR - No third-round pick
SIS Scouting Reports — Grade (Scale)
- Cam Ward, QB — 6.7 (Strong starter)
- Luther Burden III, WR — 6.7 (Strong starter)
After months of speculation, the Titans decide to "stick and pick" and select Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
Early on in the process, there was a debate about whether or not they would consider trading down with the Browns or Giants, but ultimately Ward separated himself from Shedeur Sanders and the Titans decide to reset at quarterback just two years after drafting Will Levis and one year after breaking ground on their new stadium.
Brian Callahan needs to do what Brian Daboll would have done and that's let Cam Ward cook. To that end, most of my scouting notes on Ward can be boiled down to:
- "C'mon, man. lol" (derogatory)
vs. - "C'mon! man, LOL" (so sick)
It's going to be a rocky road, but as ESPN's Kevin Clark has been saying all draft season, Ward has enough in common with the former gunslinger who was prone to hero ball by the name of Patrick Mahomes. Trying to coach those tendencies out of Ward would be a mistake.
Pairing him with versatile inside-out receiver Luther Burden III, however, would not be a mistake. It would give the Titans their most dynamic after-the-catch option since A.J. Brown. ESPN's Matt Miller has likened Burden to Stefon Diggs while NBC's Patrick Daugherty has said Burden reminds him of Percy Harvin.
Burden has the ability to stretch the defense both vertically and horizontally, but he would primarily work as an underneath option for Ward, sort of like a juiced-up Xavier Restrepo, who became Miami's all-time leading receiver with Ward at the helm.
Burden would also help to create some space for Calvin Ridley to work the intermediate middle of the field while Chig Okonkwo stresses the seam.
