Xavier Restrepo (2025)

Overall
Xavier Restrepo is a wide receiver in Miami’s offense, playing almost exclusively in the slot with a hefty dose of pre-snap motion. When aligned out wide, he’s usually in stacks or bunches and rarely sees the field in two WR sets. He played in 54 career games and started 29 of them. He missed five games during the 2022 season with what he called a recurring stress foot fracture that he injured a few years prior. He ran track in high school (hurdles, pole vault) and had a 4.5 GPA earning Ivy League offers. He wears the #7 to honor his late high school teammate. Restrepo knows he’ll be viewed as undersized but frequently pushes his frame to its limits and makes sure his thermostat is set to 100. Former Cane and current Rams safety Kam Kinchens on Restrepo’s makeup: “He’s not the biggest, strongest, or fastest, but just a football player, a dog. And he makes sure he brings that energy to everybody else on the team.”
Last Word
Restrepo projects as an inside-only #4 WR who is at his best when used as an extension of the run game. He possesses the necessary grit and love of the game to be a Core 4 special-teamer who can also be counted on to play on 3rd downs and move the chains.
